Custom Applique Thangkas

Applique thangkas are artfully rendered from hundreds of pieces of brocade, using the same proportion grids as in thangkas. In the past, Applique artists had to rely on thangka painters to provide them with proportion grids and guidance when beginning a new work. Our Norbulingka Applique Master is a fully trained thangka painter who can interpret a thangka into brocade and silk medium to customize to a client’s needs.
